DIVING IN PUNTA CANA AREA

In the diving area in Punta Cana, we can enjoy different diving spots, ranging from different reefs, wrecks, etc. It is formed by corals that rise on a sandy bottom and is populated by tropical fish. It is located along the Atlantic coast of Bavaro at an approximate distance of 20 minutes by boat from the dive center. With depths varying from 6 to 18 meters and an approximate duration of 40 minutes* for each dive, these dive sites are suitable for both certified divers and beginners.

DSD (Discover Scuba Dive)

This is a PADI program in Punta Cana for divers without certification.
The program consists of a theory session of about 30 minutes. Then follows a pool training, to learn how to use the equipment and some basic skills to dive safely.
Then you will go with the instructor on an open water dive on the local coral reef at a maximum depth of 12 meters. The dive will last about 30 to 45 minutes.
It is possible to do an open water dive on Catalina Island when theory and pool training is done someday before the excursion to Catalina.
This PADI course in Punta Cana takes 1 day (half-day duration).
